Canon Announces the Cinema EOS C300

Time to break open the piggy-bank everyone; last night Canon announced their first attempt at a pro-level cine camera. The Canon Cinema EOS C300 is a serous notch up on the EOS 5D Mark II which is enjoying a great deal of success among indie filmmakers.

Vincent Laforet was one of the first people to put the C300 through it’s paces, and he’s put together an excellent review here.

You should check out Laforet’s short ‘Mobius’ below. I can’t wait to look for an excuse to rent one of these when they eventually land in Australia.
